Compensation: $34 /hr


The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides essential direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) or other licensed healthcare professional.

The CNA performs a range of personalized patient care tasks and related non-professional services necessary for addressing the personal needs and comfort of patients.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Uphold patient confidentiality for all clients.
  • Execute assigned duties within the scope of practice accurately and promptly.
  • Comply with facility/client policies, procedures, and protocols consistently.
  • Assist physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers with treatments, procedures, and tests across various patient care environments.
  • Protect the client/patient by adhering to appropriate infection control measures, including universal precautions.
  • Alert the supervising nurse of any unusual findings or conditions.
  • Exhibit flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of all facilities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Preferred one year of experience as a certified nursing assistant within the last three years.
  • Completion of a certified nursing assistant program with documentation as a certified nursing assistant per state requirements, including proof of active certification in good standing.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and clerical functions.
  • Adhere to all relevant professional standards of practice.
  • Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable.
  • Current CPR certification if applicable.
  • TB Questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray if applicable.
  • Current Health certificate (as per contract or state regulation).
  • Must fulfill all federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to the job site.
  • Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate information to and from appropriate individuals (including supervisors, co-workers, clients) through strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required.
  • Computer proficiency is required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
