Patient Services Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our team at Gracelight Community Health. As a Patient Services Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our patients receive exceptional customer service and that our healthcare services are delivered efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers
- Perform patient registration and intake, including verifying patient information and insurance coverage
- Collect and process patient payments, including copays and credit card transactions
- Coordinate patient appointments, including scheduling and rescheduling
- Verify patient eligibility and insurance benefits
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Perform other administrative tasks as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Five years of healthcare-related customer service or two years of patient intake/registration experience required
- Working knowledge of insurance verification/eligibility insurance programs required
- PC or word processing experience required
- Medical coding experience preferred
- Certificate in billing and coding and/or Medical Terminology preferred
- Excellent telephone and interpersonal communication skills
- Familiarity with Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) and International Classification of Disease (ICD) coding a plus
The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with multiple priorities and deadlines. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
This is a full-time position, with a salary range of $24.02 - $36.02 hourly. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan.
