Clinical Audiologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Audiologist to join our team at the University of Virginia. As a key member of our audiology division, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, hearing aid evaluation and programming, and cochlear implant evaluation and management.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct routine and specialized auditory assessments of patients using behavioral and electrophysiological measures.
- Analyze and interpret test results, making appropriate recommendations for rehabilitation and follow-up services.
- Assess patients' candidacy for amplification, fit and dispense hearing aids or other assistive listening devices, and counsel patients and their families on their use.
- Perform hearing aid repairs and follow-up care, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Participate in clinical research and departmental quality improvement initiatives, and assist with special projects as requested.
- Provide supervision and training to graduate audiology students, and maintain current state licensure and national certification.
- Master's degree in Audiology (minimum)
- 1 year of experience in audiology or a related field
- Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
- Experience utilizing a personal computer and computerized scheduling
This is a primarily sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. Occasional travel may be required for meetings and programs.
