Clinical Audiologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Audiologist to join our team at the University of Virginia. As a Clinical Audiologist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for patients with hearing and balance disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct routine and specialized auditory assessments of patients using behavioral and electrophysiological measures.
- Analyze and interpret test results, making appropriate recommendations for rehabilitation.
- Provide follow-up services as indicated, referring patients to ancillary services as needed.
- Assess patients' candidacy for amplification, fit and dispense hearing aids or other assistive listening devices.
- Counsel patients and their families on the use of hearing aids and other assistive devices.
- Perform hearing aid repairs and maintenance.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of patient evaluations and follow-up care.
- Participate in performance improvement activities and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.
- Master's degree in Audiology (minimum).
- 1 year of experience in clinical audiology.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
- Experience utilizing a personal computer and computerized scheduling.
This is a primarily sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings and programs.
