Position Overview:
Our client seeks motivated and experienced Domestic Freight Sales Executives to drive the acquisition of new B2B clients.
Job Type: Full-time/hybrid
Key Responsibilities:
- Acquire clients who can benefit from the company's exceptional freight and warehousing services.
- Engage in sales through various channels including in-person meetings, phone calls, video conferences, and email to cultivate relationships and guide prospects toward becoming clients.
- Conduct face-to-face meetings at client facilities to strengthen relationships whenever feasible.
- Identify areas within clients' freight and warehousing requirements where the company can provide added value.
- Become proficient in the company's comprehensive online toolkit, which includes quoting, booking, tracking, and reporting functionalities, as well as EDI, API, TMS, and WMS systems.
- Manage and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Quotation (RFQs), collaborating with the operations team to deliver tailored logistics solutions.
Qualifications:
- Preferred: College degree; minimum requirement is a high school diploma.
- At least two years of experience in sales with a demonstrated ability to generate new business.
- Experience selling to large corporations is advantageous.
- A minimum of one year of experience in the freight industry is essential.
- An existing portfolio of freight business is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams and PowerPoint.
- A stable work history with proven success is required.
- Must be competitive, goal-oriented, driven, and open to coaching.
This role offers a competitive base salary.
