Position Overview:
This is a union position.

North County Serenity House, a program under HealthRIGHT 360, has been serving the community since 1966 by providing essential services for substance use disorders.

Our facility is designed to be gender-responsive and trauma-informed, employing evidence-based practices that acknowledge the significant role trauma plays in the lives of women facing substance use and criminal histories.

We offer integrated services for clients with co-occurring mental health issues, treating both conditions as primary concerns. Our residential program accommodates up to 120 women, including provisions for up to 20 children under the age of five.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a warm welcome to participants entering NCSH behavioral health services, ensuring high-quality customer service.
  • Assess participants' treatment needs and coordinate necessary social, legal, medical, or other services.
  • Ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and within designated timeframes.
  • Utilize electronic systems to maintain accurate records of intake and discharge dates, as well as child counts, ensuring compliance with licensing requirements.
  • Conduct assessments using the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) criteria and document diagnoses according to ICD-10 and DSM-5 standards.
  • Facilitate orientation sessions to introduce new participants to program policies, procedures, and culture.
  • Link new participants with available support resources within the program.
  • Ensure participants have safe and comfortable accommodations tailored to their needs.
  • Assess and refer participants to appropriate levels of care, maintaining planned intakes and coordinating with other service providers when necessary.
  • Maintain utilization records for each funding source.

Qualifications:
Required Education:
  • Registration with Drug and Alcohol Certification recognized by the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS).
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • First Aid and CPR certification within 30 days of employment.
  • Valid California driver's license and automobile insurance.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Drug and Alcohol Certification recognized by DHCS.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Background Clearance:
  • Must not be on active parole or probation.
