Job Summary

The Senior Business Development Manager at ABM Industries is responsible for driving business growth through strategic sales and business development initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding of the manufacturing and distribution industry vertical, as well as the ability to develop and execute short and long-term sales plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales plans to drive business growth and revenue
  • Prospect for new clients and business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and other means
  • Grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services to clients
  • Collaborate with mid and senior level management, marketing, and technical staff to develop and execute sales strategies
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of the market, ABM's solutions and services, and competitors
  • Develop and maintain a diverse network of relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry influencers
  • Effectively manage the assigned budget and resources to achieve sales goals
  • Support the company's online and direct marketing campaigns
  • Monitor bid schedules and understand the competition in the marketplace
  • Assist in training and development of sales staff as needed

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in business development and sales
  • Bachelor's degree or significant related experience
  • Strong understanding of the manufacturing and distribution industry vertical
  • Proven ability to develop and execute sales plans to drive business growth and revenue
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM software preferred
