Senior Application Engineer

Position Overview:
The role involves the creation and enhancement of innovative products, utilizing skills in 3D modeling, technical drawing, and production execution, guided by client insights and market demands. The engineer will mentor junior team members and oversee all facets of designated projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize and develop new products, including 3D modeling, technical drawings, and production rollout, while conducting market analysis.
- Prepare and deliver design presentations to stakeholders.
- Ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective.
- Integrate engineering principles with aesthetic considerations to create functional and visually appealing products.
- Guide manufacturing partners and suppliers on production methodologies and troubleshoot product issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with development teams to achieve project timelines and budget objectives.
- Review and refine drawings, documentation, and CAD models with the production team for development initiatives.
- Engage with Sales, Marketing, Production, Quality Assurance, and other departments to provide project updates and gather input.
- Verify production readiness through comprehensive qualification processes, including testing and capability assessments.
- Conduct physical evaluations of components in both field and laboratory settings.
- Implement design modifications for new and existing components, jigs, fixtures, and tools as necessary.
- Work alongside manufacturing teams on vendor selection, sourcing, and contract discussions.
- Effectively manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Navigate complex technological advancements and challenging client interactions with proficiency.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficient in advanced CAD software and modeling techniques.
- Capability to transition a product from initial concept through detailed design to production.
- Familiarity with various engineering tools, including FEA, FMEA, and Lean methodologies.
- Understanding of diverse materials and manufacturing techniques.
- Experience with product development cycles and sourcing is advantageous.
- Background in the defense sector is highly desirable.

Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience:
A minimum of 5 years in product development and detailed design of parts or systems.
Experience in automotive, power sports, consumer goods, or similar industries is preferred.
Work Environment:
Office-based role requiring prolonged periods of sitting and visual acuity for data entry and validation on computers.
Some travel may be necessary.
