Position Overview:
The role involves collaborating with seasoned professionals to design, develop, and document new products for manufacturing release. This position requires interaction with cross-functional teams and direct engagement with customers to assess market opportunities, set project objectives, and achieve desired outcomes. You will be accountable for ensuring customer satisfaction and the financial success of assigned projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage basic design and application tasks for multiple concurrent projects.
- Develop expertise in understanding component sets and identifying potential risks in new or updated designs.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to define project targets through internal research and customer engagement, with substantial management oversight.
- Coordinate project timelines and action items with assistance from senior engineers, involving cross-functional teams in design, testing, quality assurance, and manufacturing.
- Supervise the fabrication of prototypes, assess product fitment, and support vehicle calibration efforts.
- Conduct design and testing activities, which may include field testing and vehicle operation.
- Assist in creating and maintaining 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs, and ECN documentation.
- Monitor project progress towards targets and report to senior engineering staff at key milestones.
- Prioritize customer needs and project profitability in all activities.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficiency in engineering design principles.
- Experience with Creo/3D modeling or similar CAD software.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Applications Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience:
A minimum of 3 years in product development with hands-on design experience, preferably in the automotive or power sports sectors.
Work Environment:
Office setting with the ability to sit for extended periods and the vision required for data entry and validation.

Compensation Range:
$97,058 - $133,455
This range reflects the expected compensation for this position based on various factors including experience, education, and market conditions.
