Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Veridiam, a leading strategic manufacturing partner, seeks a highly skilled Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for providing technical guidance and developing, evaluating, and enhancing manufacturing methods and processes.
Key Responsibilities- Manufacturing Process Development: Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, workflow, and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
- Product Design and Tooling: Collaborate with planning and customer teams to ensure efficient production methods and develop product designs and tooling.
- Manufacturing Capabilities and Scheduling: Confer with management, engineering, and other departments to facilitate production processes and ensure timely delivery of products.
- Vendor Collaboration: Work with vendors to determine product specifications and equipment, materials, and parts that meet quality standards.
- Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve new or existing product problems involving design, material, or processes.
- Continuous Improvement: Apply lean manufacturing methods to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost effectiveness.
- Technical Requirements and Design for Manufacturability: Gather and communicate technical requirements and lead design for manufacturability efforts.
- Documentation and Project Management: Create and maintain bill of material and routing data in the enterprise resource system and manage project timelines and new product introductions.
- Technical Support and Training: Provide day-to-day technical support for manufacturing processes and assist in training others in engineering production.
- Labor and Material Cost Calculations: Perform detailed labor/material cost calculations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams during the manufacturing launch of new product introductions.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field and minimum 7 years' experience or equivalent education and experience.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of lean manufacturing and six sigma and statistical process control preferred. Ability to identify and resolve complex problems, understand verbal and written instructions, and prioritize and handle workflow.
