Compensation

This position offers a competitive pay rate of $17.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Under the supervision of a Case Manager, you will provide essential resettlement support services to eligible refugee clients, adhering to contractual obligations, organizational standards, and accreditation requirements.


Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Case Manager on all pre-arrival case tasks, including housing arrangements and communication with U.S. ties and co-sponsors.
  • Conduct home safety inspections as necessary and furnish residences with essential items.
  • Facilitate initial airport receptions and home safety orientations for incoming refugees.
  • Assist with applications for Social Security cards, public benefits, and other relevant registrations within designated timeframes.
  • Document all visits, case activities, and efforts to address refugee needs as per Operational Guidance.
  • Provide transportation for refugee services as required, ensuring compliance with child safety laws.

Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or community services is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in refugee-related casework and community services is preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural environment and a willingness to engage with refugees.
  • Proficiency in English, with fluency in the languages of refugee clients preferred, including the ability to translate both written and spoken communications.
  • Demonstrated compassion and patience towards individuals served.
  • Capacity to collaborate constructively with staff and clients, working as part of a team to achieve shared objectives.
  • Aptitude for identifying needs and issues, communicating them to case managers for follow-up.
  • Basic knowledge of or ability to learn various computer applications, including Excel and graphic programs.

Additional Requirements

A valid driver's license with a clean driving record, reliable personal transportation suitable for safely transporting clients, current vehicle registration, and proof of automobile insurance are required.
