Position Summary

The Case Aide will collaborate with team members to manage social service cases effectively. This role involves assessing client needs, aiding in the formulation and execution of service plans, recommending and securing necessary services, and gathering essential information for case managers to facilitate appropriate living arrangements for clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate initial housing placements alongside case managers, which includes researching and securing accommodations, arranging furniture and household goods, organizing transportation and volunteers for housing setup, and ensuring utility services are activated;
  • Assist clients during housing transitions, addressing challenges and crises, including mediation with landlords and providing emergency financial support;
  • Support Case Managers in maintaining accurate case files by updating management systems, reporting databases, and physical documentation while ensuring confidentiality;
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Experience in providing resettlement services is highly desirable;
  • Ability to foster and maintain professional relationships with diverse clients, providers, and vendors;
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Access, MS Excel, and various database programs;
  • Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are strongly preferred;
  • A valid driver's license, insurance, a clean driving record, and personal transportation are required;
  • A commitment to the human rights of refugees, immigrants, asylum seekers, and displaced individuals is essential;
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory.

Physical Requirements

  • Manual dexterity, tactile, visual, and auditory acuity are necessary;
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions, and sustain prolonged periods of sitting and standing, along with mental and visual focus;
  • Occasional lifting (up to 25 pounds), bending, pulling, and carrying may be required.
