At Virginia Supportive Housing, we're driven to provide stable housing, health, and wellness to our most vulnerable neighbors. As an Assistant Property Manager, you'll play a crucial role in removing barriers and empowering individuals to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage public inquiries, tours, and volunteer activities to ensure a positive resident experience.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Property Manager to oversee property operations, including rent collection, new applicant processing, and budget management.
  • Coordinate rent increase requests, assemble market comparables, and maintain property management files.
  • Conduct unit inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and high-quality maintenance.

What We're Looking For:

  • Excellent human relations and communication skills to interact with residents, site personnel, and corporate office staff.
  • Attention to detail to plan, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in supervising a team, training, mentoring, and motivating staff.
  • Self-motivation and customer service orientation with a focus on safety protocols.

Requirements:

  • Three+ years of prior residential property management experience.
  • Experience with Section Eight and Low Income Housing Tax Credits preferred.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal and state housing laws preferred.
  • Valid VA Driver's License and reliable transportation.
  • Computer skills, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Knowledge of property management software, such as OneSite or NextGen, or demonstrated ability to learn.
  • Registered Apartment Managers Certification, CPR, and First Aid Certification preferred.
