Job Overview:


The Facilities Porter / Make Ready Technician is responsible for the routine maintenance of the apartment community, including buildings, amenities, and surrounding areas, ensuring a welcoming environment for residents, guests, and team members.

The role requires maintaining the community's curb appeal while ensuring effective and professional communication.

Tasks must be completed promptly and may involve operating tools and equipment in compliance with safety and operational standards.


Key Responsibilities:


- Ensure thorough upkeep and trash removal from grounds, amenities, building exteriors, leasing office, parking lots, and community common areas.
- Assist in cleaning and preparing units, including trash removal from vacant apartments.
- Perform weather preparation and cleanup as necessary.
- Organize, maintain, and utilize provided supplies efficiently.
- Present a professional appearance that reflects the company's image.
- Complete additional tasks or duties as assigned by community leadership.

Qualifications:

Professional Experience:
Preferred minimum of one year of experience as a Porter.

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Ability to perform basic mathematical functions accurately.

Computer Skills:
Basic computer and Internet knowledge preferred.
Familiarity with on-site resident management software is a plus.

Physical Demands:
Physical requirements may include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

The team member will regularly need to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and reach using feet, legs, back, arms, and hands.

Climbing may occasionally be required.

Specific vision requirements include the ability to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The team member will need to work at a personal computer.

Must be able to detect auditory and/or visual alarms and be available to work extended/flexible hours and weekends as necessary.

This position is full-time and may require availability for some nights, weekends, and occasional holidays. Regular attendance and active participation in company functions and events are also required.
