Job Overview:


The Facilities Porter / Make Ready Technician is responsible for the routine maintenance and upkeep of the apartment community, which includes buildings, amenities, and surrounding areas. This role is crucial in ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for residents, guests, and team members.

You will be tasked with maintaining the community's visual appeal while ensuring effective and professional communication.

It is essential that assigned responsibilities are completed promptly, often requiring the use of tools and equipment in compliance with safety and operational standards.


Key Responsibilities:


- Ensure thorough upkeep and removal of trash from grounds, amenities, building exteriors, leasing office, parking lots, and community common areas.
- Assist in cleaning and preparing units, including trash removal from vacant apartments.
- Perform weather preparation and cleanup as necessary.
- Organize, maintain, and utilize provided supplies efficiently.
- Present a professional appearance that aligns with the company's image.
- Complete additional tasks or duties as assigned by community leadership.

Qualifications:

Professional Experience:
Preferred minimum of one year of experience in a porter role.

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Ability to perform basic mathematical functions accurately.

Computer Skills:
Basic computer and Internet knowledge preferred.
Familiarity with on-site resident management software is a plus.

Physical Demands:
Physical requirements may include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

The team member will regularly be required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and reach using their feet, legs, back, arms, and hands.

Climbing may occasionally be necessary.

Specific vision requirements include the ability to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The team member will be required to work at a personal computer.

Must possess the ability to detect auditory and/or visual alarms and be available to work extended or flexible hours, including weekends as needed.
