Position Overview:

CommonSpirit Health is committed to delivering exceptional healthcare services, and our Patient Registration team plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless experience for our patients. As a temporary Patient Registration Representative, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing them with the support they need during the registration process.

Key Responsibilities:
In this temporary role, you will:

  • Ensure accurate patient identification and data collection.
  • Gather comprehensive demographic information from patients.
  • Verify insurance details and eligibility.
  • Assess and collect patient financial responsibilities.
  • Guide patients to the Patient Registration Specialist for further assistance with financial matters as necessary.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you should meet the following requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital Patient Registration department, healthcare insurance company, or related revenue cycle environment; 2 years preferred.
  • Familiarity with charity care programs and various governmental and non-governmental assistance programs is preferred.
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
  • Strong understanding of insurance policies and procedures.
  • Proficient in medical terminology.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations for payment processing.
  • Experience in managing financial transactions and payments.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency.
