**Job Description:
Key Responsibilities- Provide individual and group therapy to members to support their therapeutic process.
- Assure that members and residents receive appropriate and timely evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, medical screening and medical/psychiatric evaluation whenever indicated.
- Provide consultation as needed as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Complete progress notes daily and according to the submission guidelines required by the program.
- May provide injections.
- May participate in County Medication Monitoring Review meetings on a monthly basis.
- May participate in the development, approval and review of all policies, procedures and protocols that govern clinical care.
- Provide 'on-the-spot' counseling that is both helpful to the members and consistent with the philosophy of the program.
- Travel between sites for the purpose of attending clinical meetings or providing training.
- Drive on agency business using personal vehicle.
- Maintain clean driving record as well as currency of driver's license and vehicle insurance/registration.
- Maintain valid malpractice liability coverage.
- Adhere to and uphold the policies and procedures of Turning Point Community Programs.
- Meet the standards set for performance in all aspects of job duties.
- Meet the standard for consistent attendance (not more than a 5% absence rate per month) by reporting to every scheduled shift on time and ready to work and by the judicious use of paid sick leave and avoiding any situations resulting in the need to dock pay for time not worked.
- Medical license verifiable through CA Board of Medicine and Board Certified in Psychiatry.
- Completion of four (4) year residency program in psychiatry.
- Additional two (2) years post-graduate experience in community mental health providing direct patient treatment/care is preferred.
- Certificate of Completion of Residency in Psychiatry.
- Valid medical license with Medical Board of California.
- Valid DEA Certificate.
- California driver's license & current vehicle insurance/registration if driving; and,
- Reliable means of transportation capable of passing vehicle safety inspection if more than five years old excluding all modes of two-wheeled transport inclusive of bicycles, mopeds and motorcycles.
