Position Summary:

The IT Support Specialist is essential in delivering technical assistance and support to our staff, ensuring the seamless operation of all IT systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, exceptional communication capabilities, and a dedication to customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver first-line technical support to users through various channels including phone, email, remote assistance, and face-to-face interactions.
  • Identify and resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
  • Set up, configure, and troubleshoot computer systems, software applications, printers, and other IT devices.
  • Work collaboratively with fellow IT team members to escalate complex issues and ensure effective resolution.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of support requests, solutions, and troubleshooting procedures in a ticketing system.
  • Conduct training sessions for users to improve digital literacy and maximize technology utilization within the organization.
  • Assist in the upkeep of IT infrastructure, including software updates, patch management, and system backups.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance technical skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar IT support role, with a solid understanding of computer systems, networks, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Proficiency in operating systems (Windows), mobile devices (Apple and Android), Microsoft Office Suite, and standard business applications.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with users of varying technical expertise.
  • Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to resolving technical challenges.
