Position Overview: The South Suburban Parks and Recreation is seeking a dedicated individual to take on the role of Athletic Event Supervisor. This position is crucial for overseeing both indoor and outdoor sports events, ensuring a seamless experience for all participants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary representative for the District during athletic events.
  • Supervise staff and participants, ensuring a positive and safe environment.
  • Manage the equipment and maintain the field or court standards.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
  • Possess a solid understanding of the sport, including its rules and regulations.
  • Have prior experience in a supervisory role within a sports setting.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of game principles, practices, and techniques.
  • Exhibit the ability to make fair calls and accept constructive feedback.
  • Capable of managing interactions with participants, coaches, and team managers, especially in challenging situations.
  • Skilled in building and maintaining effective relationships with colleagues and community members.
