The ideal candidate should also have the capability to create digital segments, features, and programs, and may be required to co-anchor sports broadcasts as needed.

The local sports landscape is vibrant and competitive, and the candidate must excel in building relationships to break sports stories and deliver engaging narratives with an enthusiastic and imaginative presentation both on-site and in the studio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce a nightly sports program
  • Film, write, and edit sports features
  • Exhibit a strong on-air presence
  • Convey sports stories in a clear and concise manner
  • Provide comprehensive live coverage from significant sporting events
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of local sports teams, athletes, and narratives
  • Co-anchor a nightly sports program and present sportscasts when necessary
  • React promptly to breaking sports news and events

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with ENG camera operations
  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere for video editing
  • Experience with ENPS for production
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Exceptional communication abilities
  • Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
  • Willingness to travel for sports coverage
  • A minimum of four years of experience in sports multimedia journalism and production
  • Experience covering professional and high-level collegiate sports
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
