Key Responsibilities

We are in search of a distinguished scientist to become part of our diverse team dedicated to energy storage research, specifically in exploring groundbreaking technologies related to high energy density lithium-sulfur batteries. The primary duties of the successful candidate will include:

  • Developing liquid electrolytes with optimal solvation structures utilizing novel solvents, salts, and additives.
  • Creating lithium metal anodes featuring 3D structures and suitable protective membranes to facilitate stable cycling of lithium-sulfur batteries.
  • Characterizing electrochemical and morphological properties and examining electrode/electrolyte interphases.
  • Preparing manuscripts for scholarly publication and presenting research findings at national and international conferences.
  • Generating innovative ideas for funded research initiatives.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates must possess a PhD from an accredited institution, awarded within the last five years or anticipated within the next eight months.

Preferred Qualifications:

A proven track record of publications in reputable journals and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment are essential. Candidates should also demonstrate a strong commitment to safety.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry, Polymeric Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or closely related fields obtained within the last five years from an accredited institution.

Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:

  • Strong foundation in materials synthesis for advanced cathode and anode materials tailored for battery applications.
  • Knowledge and practical experience in developing non-aqueous electrolytes, lithium metal protection, and sulfur electrodes.
  • Extensive expertise in material synthesis, scale-up processes, battery assembly, and testing.
  • Prior involvement with organic electrolytes and lithium-sulfur systems is preferred.
