We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a System Status Controller.

Salary: $25.00 per hour with 42 hours of PTO after 90 days of successful employment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the indirect delivery of patient care by aggressively following System Status Management procedures to reduce response times.
  • Maintain an excellent working knowledge of Communications and Operations policies and procedures.
  • Receives and processes requests for emergency and non-emergency medical assistance using proper telecommunications skills and technique.
  • Prioritize requests using Medical Priority Dispatch protocols as approved by the Operational Medical Director and the Richmond Ambulance Authority.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

  • Able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Current Virginia Emergency Medical Technician certification or willingness to obtain within one year of employment.
