Richmond City Public Schools seeks a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Support Coordinator to facilitate the efficient operation of our offices.

This is an exempt position with an estimated salary range of $40,000 - $60,000 per year.

Job Summary:

The Administrative Support Coordinator performs a wide range of administrative functions, including composing correspondence, maintaining calendars, and processing financial data. This individual will provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders while maintaining confidentiality and discretion.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Administrative Functions:
    • Plan, initiate, and complete office support activities
    • Compose non-routine letters, answer telephone calls, and inform students, faculty, and the public on department operations and policies
    • Maintain logs on incoming correspondence and action documents, and follow up on work in progress to ensure timely response or action
  • Schedule Management:
    • Maintain supervisor's calendar as required
    • Format and type confidential and general correspondence, reports, and statistical data
  • Financial Management:
    • Process financial data, tabulate and prepare reports
    • Make travel arrangements
  • Office Operations:
    • Greet customers, answer inquiries, and refer as necessary
    • Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential
    • Organize and archive physical and electronic documentation
    • Order and maintain office supplies
  • Tech Support:
    • Keep equipment operational by following manufacturer's instructions and procedures
    • Secure information by completing database backups
    • Provide historical reference by utilizing filing and retrieval systems
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Two years of office associate experience, preferably in a school setting
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic mathematical calculations and business English skills
