Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Aeronautical Engineer to join our team at Lockheed Martin. As a Material Review Board Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and performance of high-stakes aircraft through anomaly investigation, developing innovative technical solutions, and leading the disposition of discrepancies across various stages of production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues related to aircraft parts, assemblies, and systems, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Collaborate across a wide array of functional areas and Lockheed Martin Aero sites, including Stress/Durability, Quality Assurance, Structures and Systems Design, and more.
  • Drive process improvements and implement best practices in daily operations while coordinating lessons learned and corrective actions.
  • Engage directly with the production floor, evaluating non-conformances, which may involve physical inspection in challenging environments such as confined spaces or elevated positions.
Requirements
  • Ability to obtain Material Review Board (MRB) certification
  • Subject to a government evaluation
  • Strong decision-making skills with a keen understanding of the financial implications of technical decisions
  • Experience in hands-on problem-solving within a high-performance aircraft production setting
  • Physical capability to inspect and assess aircraft components in various conditions and environments
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams to drive success in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
