Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and monitor all ongoing projects within the department to ensure timely execution in alignment with client requirements and adherence to company policies and standards.
Manage the preparation of proposals and cost estimates to clients, ensuring accurate scoping of services and pricing to achieve desired profitability.
Supervise daily departmental operations, including staff training, development, performance evaluations, equipment utilization, safety oversight, service quality, and timely delivery of outputs.
Engage in business development activities to identify, cultivate, and secure project opportunities while fostering and maintaining client relationships.

Essential Duties:
  • Oversee the creation of proposals and cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with the Office Manager on business and client development initiatives.
  • Assist in developing and managing staffing plans, recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes.
  • Contribute to the preparation and execution of the annual business plan for the department.
  • Monitor and manage key departmental metrics, including revenue growth, staff chargeability, project billing, collections, and profitability.
  • Identify and assess project-related risks and implement protective measures in accordance with company risk policies.
  • Lead safety initiatives and ensure compliance with safety protocols among team members.
  • Encourage continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects, engaging with APRs at project initiation.
  • Supervise a team of 5-6 direct reports.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field such as Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology, with a minimum of 4 years of practical experience; or a minimum of 9 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • A Master's degree or PhD is preferred.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred Certification:
  • Relevant certification or licensure in the field of expertise.
