Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative to join our team at Self Regional Healthcare. As a key member of our patient access team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless patient scheduling and registration processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduling, pre-certification, and benefit verification to ensure accurate and timely patient registration.
  • Utilize independent judgment and ingenuity to resolve customer needs and ensure efficient patient flow.
  • Work collaboratively with staff to understand and implement scheduling processes that impact ancillary departments.
  • Conduct patient and guarantor interviews to obtain accurate demographic and financial data.
  • Ensure pre-certification and/or authorization is obtained to comply with insurance company policies.
  • Determine estimated patient financial responsibility through verified insurance benefits, co-pays, and deductibles.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nursing, clinical staff, and non-clinical staff to ensure proper patient scheduling.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in EPIC system and other relevant software.
