About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager of Global Payroll to join our team at Robinhood. As a key member of our payroll operations team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll for our 2,400+ employees across the US and international jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the payroll processing for multi-state domestic and international exempt and nonexempt employees, including bi-weekly payroll and monthly or ad-hoc employee equity settlements.
  • Review month-end journal entries and reconciliations for payroll-related accounts and participate in our month-end close process.
  • Responsible for monitoring and maintaining payroll tax compliance.
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls, including SOX.
  • Partner with the People team and Corp Eng to develop payroll best practices, guidelines, and procedures and ensure proper flow of employee data and information.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional payroll-related projects end-to-end.
  • Own end-to-end payroll-related audits.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain key policies and procedures for global payroll, including documentation of internal control procedures, identification of inefficiencies/gaps, and implementation of process improvements.
  • Collaborate with various organizations within the Company to support the payroll process and drive efficiencies and accuracy.
Requirements
  • Minimum 12 years of relevant end-to-end global payroll processing experience with a focus in global technology companies with 1,000+ employees.
  • Minimum 5 years of managing a payroll team.
  • Expert working knowledge of Workday HRIS, Office, and G-Suite.
  • Experience with acquisitions and international expansion.
  • The ability to collaborate cross-functionally and build strong relationships.
  • Understanding of accounting for payroll-related activities.
  • Knowledge of and experience with global taxation of stock options and restricted stock units (RSUs).
  • Knowledge in labor and payroll tax laws and regulations.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. This role is also eligible to participate in a Robinhood bonus plan and Robinhood's equity plan.
