Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Global Payroll Senior Project Manager to join our team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing thought leadership and expertise in organizational design, payroll process improvement, and technical guidance to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organizational Design: Collaborate with the Deputy Director, Payroll to define the charter of the team, including vision, mission, and goals.
- Payroll Process Improvement: Perform gap analysis of current state vs. future state capabilities, identify areas for improvement, and provide recommendations for process enhancements.
- Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and support to team members related to book of business and payroll projects.
- Payroll System Implementation: Collaborate on solutions to complex operational payroll issues based on understanding of global payroll processes and the Foundation's HRIS and payroll system.
- Process Review and Scaling: Review and scale processes across all regional offices and affiliated entities, focusing on efficiencies and best practices.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years payroll systems experience
- Experience in reviewing payroll processes for efficiencies and advising on/developing a long-term payroll strategy
- Proficiency with payroll software and systems (experience with WorkDay, international third-party service providers preferred)
- Superior organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of Global Mobility policies and compensation and experience managing both US and global payroll
- Project management skills and ability to review the work of others, including external vendors
- Deep interest in process improvement and utilization of technology
