Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled AM Cook I to join our culinary team. As a key member, you will be responsible for preparing food of consistent quality, adhering to recipe cards and production standards. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently will ensure seamless kitchen operations.

Responsibilities
  1. Prepare food of consistent quality, following recipe cards and production standards, as per server requests.
  2. Start food items prepared ahead of time, ensuring optimal preparation and minimizing waste.
  3. Date and rotate food containers according to HEI Hotels and Resorts standards, maintaining proper temperatures for perishables.
  4. Check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, and note any out-of-stock items or possible shortages.
  5. Assist in setting up plans and actions to correct food cost problems, control food waste, loss, and usage, adhering to HEI Hotels and Resorts standards.
  6. Operate, maintain, and properly clean deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron, and flat top grill.
  7. Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  8. Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Finger/hand dexterity to operate food machinery with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to grasp, lift, and/or carry, or otherwise move goods weighing a maximum of 100 lbs. on a continuous schedule with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
