As a key component of the USBA initiative, Amazon has committed $150 million to support Black entrepreneurs through the BBA. This program provides essential educational, financial, and advisory resources designed to empower Black-owned businesses to succeed as sellers on Amazon.
The successful candidate will exhibit a strong customer-centric approach towards financial products that bolster Amazon's Black Business Accelerator. Your role will be pivotal in nurturing sustainable growth for Black-owned enterprises by facilitating their success as sellers.
We are in search of a seasoned program manager who prioritizes access to capital for underrepresented communities and demonstrates sound judgment, business insight, and self-drive.
In this capacity, you will work collaboratively with internal teams to pinpoint opportunities for financial literacy and inclusion, offering tailored resources for businesses within the USBA framework. Furthermore, you will engage closely with various Amazon teams and external partners.
This role is highly influential and necessitates close cooperation with company leadership to propel financial inclusion initiatives aimed at enhancing the business growth of Black and other underrepresented communities.
The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, comfortable navigating ambiguity, and excels in collaboration. You will be expected to innovate and implement effective strategies to elevate the financial and business acumen of USBA participants while partnering with the PM, Strategic Capital to ensure that financial offerings such as grants and credits are complemented with education and support.
Strategic thinking will be essential in developing and reporting metrics and KPIs to guide the enhancement of current and future products and initiatives. Attention to detail, experience in program management, and outstanding written communication skills are critical for delivering exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities- Develop a financial literacy and inclusion strategy to improve USBA business finance knowledge
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to advance financial literacy initiatives for Black and undiscovered business owners
- Lead a cross-Amazon group focused on financial inclusion to create relevant financial products
- Establish and refine mechanisms for the long-term growth and success of a financial literacy program
- Monitor and communicate insights and effectiveness to internal stakeholders
- Generate and report metrics and KPIs to drive enhancements
- Effectively convey complex decisions and potential solutions to leadership
- Anticipate emerging challenges and foster the development of new opportunities
- Align cross-functional teams to meet strategic capital objectives
The Black Business Accelerator (BBA) at Amazon is dedicated to supporting Black-owned businesses by addressing barriers to access, opportunity, and advancement stemming from societal and historical disparities. The program offers financial support, business guidance, mentorship, and marketing assistance to Black business owners to facilitate sustainable growth.
