Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Part-time English as a Second Language Instructor to join our team at Clark College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching ESL courses to students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging and effective ESL courses that cater to the needs of students with varying language proficiency levels.
  • Use a variety of instructional modalities and technologies to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assess student progress and provide timely and constructive feedback to ensure student success.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum standards that meet the needs of our students.
  • Participate in departmental and college-wide committees to contribute to the development of policies and procedures that support student learning and success.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in TESOL, Linguistics, Adult Education, or a closely related field.
  • Experience teaching ESL to adults, preferably in a community college setting.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive campus culture.
