Job Overview

Agility Recruiting is seeking a skilled Payroll Manager for a prominent non-profit organization.

In this pivotal role, you will oversee and manage all facets of payroll operations, ensuring that all employees receive their compensation accurately and punctually. Collaborating closely with the Human Resources and Finance departments, you will handle payroll, benefits, tax compliance, and related functions. This position offers a significant opportunity for a seasoned payroll expert to contribute meaningfully to the organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee bi-weekly payroll processing for a workforce exceeding 300 employees, encompassing salaries, bonuses, and deductions.
  • Guarantee the timely and precise preparation and submission of all payroll tax documentation at the federal, state, and local levels.
  • Reconcile payroll accounts within the general ledger and prepare month-end payroll accruals.
  • Manage the administration of employee benefits, including health insurance and retirement plans.
  • Address employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and tax documents.
  • Assist in the processing and distribution of annual tax forms.
  • Identify and propose enhancements to streamline payroll processes for improved efficiency and accuracy.
  • Stay informed on current payroll legislation and compliance requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience with Paylocity is essential.
  • A minimum of 3 years in a payroll-related role with increasing responsibilities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of payroll systems, tax laws, and benefits management.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical abilities.
  • Highly organized with the capability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and a focus on customer service.
