Key Responsibilities: The Payroll Coordinator will oversee the payroll system, ensuring accurate processing of biweekly and semi-monthly payroll cycles. Main Duties:

  • Administer compensation packages utilizing payroll software - ADP Workforce Now
  • Gather and verify timekeeping data for all staff members
  • Calculate wages based on hours worked, including leave and overtime considerations
  • Determine bonuses and commissions as applicable
  • Manage tax calculations and deductions
  • Process periodic payments accurately, whether through checks or direct deposits
  • Review and reconcile monthly benefit statements
  • Issue invoices and maintain comprehensive payroll records
  • Update both paper and electronic payroll documentation for adjustments
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies
  • Address software and technical issues as they arise
  • Prepare and submit payroll reports to management
  • Ensure payroll operations adhere to established policies and procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality of payroll information
  • Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations
  • Administer wage garnishments as required by law
  • Perform data entry and reconcile timecards
  • Review timecards for accuracy and assist employees with timekeeping queries
  • Complete other assigned tasks as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in payroll processing or coordination
  • Understanding of fundamental accounting principles
  • Proficient in data collection, entry, and reporting with a strong focus on detail and confidentiality
  • Solid grasp of relevant laws, policies, and regulations
  • Technologically adept with knowledge of payroll software (e.g., ADP-WFN)
  • Strong mathematical and numerical abilities
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills with a knack for problem-solving
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in accounting or business administration is advantageous
