We are seeking a highly skilled Burn Surgeon to join our team at the Department of Surgery. As a key member of our Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Division, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the advancement of science through research and education.
Key Responsibilities- Teach and mentor residents in all areas of plastic and reconstructive surgery, with a focus on burn care and general plastic surgery.
- Establish and conduct clinical research projects with medical students and residents to improve evidence-based practice outcomes in hand surgery, burn care, and general plastic surgery.
- Participate in departmental and hospital committees, as well as regional and national professional organizations, to advance the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery.
- Develop and maintain an active surgical practice, providing high-quality care to patients on the MCV campus of VCU and in community facilities.
- Board certification or eligibility in plastic and reconstructive surgery.
- Completion of a burn fellowship program.
- Strong commitment to resident education and teaching.
- Experience in clinical research and innovation.
- Interest in burn care and general plastic surgery.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse environment and foster a culture of inclusivity.
- Graduation from an accredited plastic surgery residency program.
