Job Overview

The Quality Assurance Supervisor is tasked with overseeing and directing the quality assurance protocols within the distribution centers and corporate offices. This position guarantees that all operations adhere to quality benchmarks and regulations, upholds quality control methodologies, and spearheads ongoing enhancement initiatives to improve product excellence and operational productivity.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance Oversight:

  • Administers a Quality Management System (QMS) for Waldom's distribution centers across the Americas while providing global support.
  • Formulates and executes quality control guidelines and procedures.
  • Conducts routine quality assessments and audits of departmental functions.
  • Ensures adherence to industry regulations, standards, and organizational policies.
  • Investigates and addresses quality-related concerns, including client grievances.
  • Collaborates with supplier and customer quality representatives to resolve quality control issues and ensures effective corrective measures are taken.

Continuous Improvement Initiatives:

  • Engages in continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing quality and operational effectiveness.
  • Evaluates quality data to pinpoint trends and opportunities for enhancement.
  • Implements corrective and preventive measures to tackle quality challenges.

Training and Development:

  • Delivers training to warehouse personnel on quality control practices and optimal procedures.
  • Creates and updates training resources and documentation.
  • Facilitates regular training sessions to ensure compliance with quality standards among staff.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintains precise and current quality documentation, including inspection records, audit findings, and corrective action logs.
  • Prepares and presents quality performance reports to senior management.
  • Collaborates with various departments to ensure cohesive quality management throughout the organization.
  • Supervises the calibration of measurement instruments.

Leadership and Team Development:

  • Oversees and mentors quality control personnel, providing necessary guidance and support.
  • Encourages a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the warehouse team.

Works collaboratively with all departments to identify, implement, and sustain process enhancements.

Acts as a bridge between Operations and office staff to foster a more efficient working relationship.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.

ISO Certified Auditor with a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience is required.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Strong decision-making capabilities.

Proficient in root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques.

Able to cultivate a cohesive team environment.

Intermediate technical proficiency.

Demonstrated experience in quality management within a warehouse or manufacturing context.

Additional Skills:

Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Professional demeanor and business acumen.

Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Occasional travel may be necessary for training, audits, or meetings.
