Patient Care Technician/Certified Nurse Aide

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Care Technician/Certified Nurse Aide to join our team at the University of Virginia Health System. As a Patient Care Technician/Certified Nurse Aide, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families in the Medical ICU.
Responsibilities:- Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living.
- Perform basic nursing skills as delegated by a Registered Nurse.
- Provide a safe environment and safe delivery of care.
- Perform administrative support functions.
- Maintain necessary skills and competencies.
- High School Graduate or Equivalent.
- No experience required, but relevant experience preferred.
- Certified Nursing Aide certification (CNA) through the Virginia Board of Nursing.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
The job requires frequent bending, stooping, and driving. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills are required. Ability to lift/push/pull up to 100 pounds is necessary. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids, and infectious disease.
