Job Title: Engineering Service Manager

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Service Manager to lead our team of Engineering Service Representatives in providing critical and methodical troubleshooting and representation for our systems outside of our offices. This role is crucial to the future expansion of our services and requires a strong understanding of high-performance computing (HPC) and VNIR/MWIR optical sensing systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interface with system operators for maintenance and troubleshooting of fielded systems.
  • Develop and maintain processes and procedures for Engineering Services in accordance with customer maintenance program requirements.
  • Execute required Engineering Service activities until the time that workload and contracts allow for a team to be built.
  • Hire and manage a team of Engineering Service Representatives to provide coverage and capability as required by associated contracts.
  • Support Program meetings through content generation and presentation both internal and external.
  • Represent Areté core values both in the office and while working remotely.
  • Work with engineering and production staff to ensure consistent and effective field work is performed.
  • Prepare and present technical briefings.
  • Maintain detailed logs and notes of work and modifications performed for internal and customer reference.
Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship Required
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Optical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • Active Top Secret / SCI and SAP access
  • A minimum of 8 years in providing Engineering Support Services
  • An understanding of high-performance computing (HPC)
  • An understanding of VNIR/MWIR optical sensing systems
  • Experience with Linux
  • Process development and generation
  • Ability to work independently and in a non-office / field environment
