Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager 2 to join our team at Northrop Grumman. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and ensuring the successful implementation of strategic goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of up to 20 engineers and provide guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of projects.
  • Work closely with engineering leadership, peer managers, and program management to ensure programs are adequately staffed and aligned with business objectives.
  • Coach and develop staff by providing training and skill development opportunities to ensure they have the necessary skills to succeed in their roles.
  • Act as a resource to the department staff by providing guidance, interpretation, and training on operating procedures and processes.
  • Champion and participate in engineering process improvement initiatives to ensure alignment of operations with business objectives.
  • Support the Business Unit's initiative to move to Model Based Engineering.
  • Develop and administer budgets and standards of performance.
  • Participate in Peer Reviews and Major Design Reviews.
  • Support proposal development and substantiation of related contract activities.
  • Identify capital, facility, and other resource requirements to secure discretionary funding to support development and transition to production needs.
Requirements
  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required; MS preferred.
  • 9+ years of experience or MS + 7 years experience in engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading personnel.
  • Experience estimating tasking as well as authoring and approving Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for Proposals.
  • Multi-disciplinary engineering experience desired.
  • Active Secret security clearance required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MS Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in Missile Development and/or Airborne Systems.
  • Experience in transition from Technology Development to EMD, EMD to Limited Rate Production and product life-cycle engineering.
  • Experience in leadership of technical teams to include in-house development and subcontractor activities.
  • Demonstrated history of technical progression leading to engineering leadership position.
  • Experience in program leadership.
  • Experience estimating tasking and writing Basis of Estimates for Proposals.
What We Offer

Northrop Grumman offers a competitive salary range of $151,900 - $227,900, as well as a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
