Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of assigned warehouse crew members
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and guidelines
  • Complete work assignments in the order specified by the Warehouse Manager
  • Train and retrain warehouse crew members in proper handling and safety techniques
  • Oversee the physical handling of goods, including wrapping, padding, stacking, unstacking, and containerization
  • Assure that material handling equipment is used by trained crew members or certified operators
  • Complete documentation necessary for each order, including inventory control forms and shipping documents

Requirements:

  • One year certificate from college or technical school, or three to six months related experience and/or training
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before groups
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, and compute rate, ratio, and percent
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn and effectively use move management software and warehouse management software
