Role Overview

Assist the Human Resources division by providing essential support at designated locations for the management of recruitment, retention, and separation processes; oversee payroll preparation; onboard new hires; manage employee benefits programs; maintain personnel files; enforce company policies and offer guidance to employees; assist in recruitment decisions, and perform any additional tasks as directed by senior management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the administration and coordination of recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, counseling, motivating, and disciplinary actions for team members.
  • Collaborate with leadership on performance management to enhance team member contributions and proactively address performance challenges, including coordinating evaluation processes.
  • Work with leadership to identify, address, and develop solutions for complex personnel matters while adhering to organizational policies and State/Federal regulations.
  • Advise site management on company policies and human resources concerns.
  • Document human resources activities by completing necessary forms, reports, logs, and records.
  • Assist the HR department by tracking new hires, transfers, terminations, job classification changes, and merit increases; monitor vacation, sick, and personal leave.
  • Support the enrollment, management, and maintenance of employee benefits and wellness initiatives.
  • Facilitate and assist with training sessions as required.
  • Ensure compliance with current State and Federal employment regulations related to Human Resources, including management of Form I-9, EEO reporting, etc.
  • Assist in payroll preparation.
  • Enhance job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities and reviewing professional literature.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the HR department or senior management.
Qualifications
  • Familiarity with company policies and procedures.
  • Understanding of general employment laws and State/Federal compliance guidelines.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong typing skills and general computer literacy.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Problem-solving and analytical decision-making abilities.
  • Capacity to be flexible, self-motivated, and proactive.
  • Ability to remain patient, adaptable, and maintain confidentiality, particularly in high-pressure situations.
  • Capability to prioritize tasks quickly while employing problem-solving skills in unforeseen circumstances.
  • Ability to multitask in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
  • Skill in maintaining records, reviewing documents for accuracy, and organizing files.
  • Effective communication with partners, team members, management, and others.
  • Ability to support and consult with management and team members in the application of organizational policies and procedures.
  • Research and analytical skills to make recommendations for resolving issues in line with standards, practices, policies, and regulations.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, professionalism, and a collaborative attitude.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Two (2) to Three (3) years of experience in Human Resources, or a combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Experience in a large organization (100+ employees) is preferred.
  • Experience in handling sensitive employee matters effectively.
