Nursing Care Specialist Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Regency Retirement Village of Tuscaloosa. As a Nursing Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents and supervising clinical staff members. Your expertise and leadership skills will be essential in ensuring the well-being and safety of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and provide nursing care for residents, including administering medications and performing treatments as required by regulations.
Supervise and direct junior staff members and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to ensure effective care delivery.
Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel to maintain a high level of clinical knowledge and skills.
Assist physicians with special tests and procedures within the scope of the state-specific Nursing Practice Act.
Ensure that supplies are utilized economically and that equipment is clean and maintained in a safe manner.
Report and record pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents, including any suspected abuse or neglect.

Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN School of Nursing.
Valid LPN/LVN license from the State of Alabama.
Valid CPR certification.
One year of experience in nursing, preferably in a long-term care setting.
