About the Role

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide health services and direct care to individuals with disabilities living in a residential program. This role involves providing advocacy and liaison with community healthcare providers, monitoring medical records, and medication administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct specialized nursing and other day-to-day care to individuals.
  • Document healthcare services according to state regulations, nursing standards, and Massachusetts LPN license requirements.
  • Function under the supervision of the residential manager, in collaboration with registered nurses and the Director of Healthcare.
  • Act as a liaison with other community agencies and treatment providers regarding regular medical needs and care.
  • Provide in-service education to individuals and/or staff on health issues.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited and approved licensed practical nurse program.
  • Current Massachusetts Nursing license.
  • Two years of general nursing experience and/or service to individuals with developmental disabilities in a community healthcare setting preferred.
  • Experience working with adults with DD and behaviors is a plus.
  • A valid Driver's license for at least one year with a good driving record history.
