Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Developmental Disability Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will provide quality support to individuals with developmental and psychiatric disabilities, enabling them to maintain their independence and achieve their goals.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support and care to individuals with developmental and psychiatric disabilities, including assistance with daily living activities, medical needs, and recreational activities.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of individual progress and updates.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Transport individuals to medical appointments, recreational activities, and other destinations as needed.
Requirements
  • A high school graduate with a minimum of 1 year of experience working with people with developmental or psychiatric disabilities.
  • Successful completion of a Massachusetts-approved Nursing Assistant Certification course or other education that meets state certification requirements.
  • Holding current Nursing Assistant Certification in Massachusetts and maintaining active certified status.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational and problem-solving skills, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
