Position Summary:
The Marine Personnel Operations Specialist collaborates with the Operations division to guarantee that the fleet is adequately staffed with qualified mariners in accordance with the Company's Safety Management System (SMS) and United States Coast Guard (USCG) regulations. This role encompasses the coordination of marine personnel and various administrative responsibilities related to staffing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate within a team to ensure optimal staffing of the fleet.
- Coordinate additional staffing needs for marine personnel, including shipyard periods and new build sea trials.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive marine personnel databases.
- Assist the Crewing Manager in identifying and addressing marine personnel requirements proactively.
- Foster positive relationships with maritime unions.
- Collect and analyze metrics related to marine personnel.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Crewing Manager.
- Support the vessel operations department as necessary.
- Travel occasionally as required.
