Senior Manufacturing Engineer

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer at Mate Precision Technologies is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the manufacturing processes within the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Develops and optimizes manufacturing processes, programs machinery, assesses modifications, and enhances production methodologies.
Collaborates with design and planning teams to ensure efficient production techniques are utilized in product design and tooling.
Engages with suppliers to ascertain product specifications, manages procurement of equipment, materials, and components, and evaluates products against quality standards.
Provides management with estimates on production timelines and associated costs to aid in decision-making.
Works closely with management, engineering, and other departments to discuss manufacturing capabilities, production timelines, and other factors that impact production efficiency.
Proficient in CAD and CAM software, with experience in Solidworks and/or Esprit.
Inputs and rectifies routing information in the company database.
Analyzes technical drawings, sketches, and design data to determine dimensions, cutting configurations, tool selections, and machine operating speeds.
Applies lean manufacturing principles effectively to achieve optimal results, including value stream mapping, 5S, and Kaizen methodologies.
Prepares process documentation and cutter lists to facilitate machine setup and operation.
Develops machine programs using programming systems (Esprit) to produce parts accurately.
Reviews machine programs to ensure correct operational sequences.
Monitors machine operations during trial runs to validate programmed instructions.
Manages smaller project tasks and assignments as needed.
Utilizes ERP systems for cost audits and understands bills of materials, routings, and cycle times.
Fosters collaboration, demonstrating openness, responsiveness, and support for colleagues' success.
Upholds integrity through dependability, sound judgment, honesty, and accountability.
Shows respect for others, encouraging idea sharing while actively listening and maintaining common courtesy.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or four to six years of relevant experience and/or training, or a combination of education and experience is required.
Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, and regulatory documents.
Capable of writing reports and procedural manuals.
Effective in presenting information and addressing inquiries from peers, clients, and customers.
Skilled in solving practical problems and managing diverse variables in situations with limited standardization.
Able to interpret various instructions provided in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule formats.
Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
Frequent use of computers.
Occasionally lift and move up to 40 lbs.
The work environment typically has a moderate noise level.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary Range: $80,000 - $85,000 annually
