*Key Responsibilities*

Current Positions Available:

Buyer

  • Develop and execute supply strategies to enhance cost, quality, and delivery for New Product Development (NPD) initiatives.
  • Update and manage cost estimates and quotations.
  • Assist the finance team with project cost consolidations and various cost categories.
  • Oversee requests for quotations (RFQ) to support stakeholders and NPD projects.
  • Ensure early and continuous supplier and procurement engagement in the NPD process.
  • Establish strong, value-driven relationships with suppliers, internal clients, and cross-functional teams.
  • Provide supply forecasts and schedules as needed.
  • Collaborate with planning to reduce inventory levels and prevent obsolescence.
  • Comprehend and communicate the terms of nondisclosure agreements and warranty contracts.
  • Work alongside sourcing, planning, and other stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Lead sourcing efforts for projects when necessary.
  • Inform sourcing management of any significant supplier challenges and risks that may impact component supply.
  • Assist in maintaining data accuracy across all relevant systems.
  • Support additional tasks as assigned.

Material Planner

  • Develop, oversee, and implement the Material Planning function by managing inventory levels to meet forecasted turnover rates and scheduling needs.
  • Create and sustain integrated processes among Operations, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing Services, and external suppliers to facilitate the planning and replenishment process, while identifying necessary procedures and tools.
  • Schedule and execute part change notifications (e.g., Engineering Change Notices) while minimizing obsolescence.
  • Manage overdue orders effectively.
  • Reduce expediting time and shipping costs related to inventory challenges.
  • Collaborate closely with management and key decision-makers across all functional areas to ensure a steady supply of materials to various locations.
  • Manage supplier relationships.
  • Foster and maintain rapport with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials to our warehouses and/or dealers.
  • Engage effectively with individuals at all levels within the supplier's organization, from entry-level staff to senior management.
  • Coordinate with Accounts Payable on invoicing matters as applicable.

*Qualifications*

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • 0 - 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to evaluate the economic implications of supplier tooling costs, lead times, and unit pricing.
  • Proficient in PC applications, including Excel, Oracle, PowerPoint, and SAP.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Preferred background in mechanical or inventory control.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, analytical/problem-solving abilities, and capacity to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to read and understand instructions in English.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
