*Key Responsibilities*

Current Positions Available:

Buyer

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies to enhance cost efficiency, quality, and delivery for new product development initiatives.
  • Prepare and revise cost estimates and quotations.
  • Support financial teams with project cost analyses and various cost categories.
  • Manage requests for quotations (RFQs) to assist stakeholders and new product development programs.
  • Facilitate early and ongoing supplier engagement in the new product development process.
  • Establish strong, value-driven relationships with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Provide supply forecasts and schedules as needed.
  • Assist in inventory management to reduce excess stock and obsolescence.
  • Comprehend and communicate terms of nondisclosure and warranty agreements.
  • Collaborate with sourcing, planning, and other stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Lead sourcing efforts for projects as necessary.
  • Notify sourcing management of significant supplier challenges and risks that may impact component supply.
  • Help maintain data accuracy across all relevant systems.
  • Support additional tasks as assigned.

Material Planner

  • Oversee and implement the Material Planning function by managing inventory levels to meet forecasted turnover rates and scheduling needs.
  • Establish and maintain integrated processes among Operations, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing Services, and external suppliers to execute the planning and replenishment process, identifying necessary procedures and tools.
  • Schedule and implement part change notifications while minimizing inventory obsolescence.
  • Manage overdue orders effectively.
  • Reduce expedited shipping times and freight costs related to inventory issues.
  • Collaborate closely with management and key decision-makers across all functional areas to ensure a consistent supply of materials to various locations.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely material delivery to our facilities and dealers.
  • Engage effectively with individuals at all levels within the supplier's organization, from entry-level staff to senior executives.
  • Coordinate with Accounts Payable on any invoicing matters as needed.

*Qualifications*

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • 0 - 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to evaluate the economic implications of supplier tooling costs, lead times, and unit pricing.
  • Proficient in PC applications, including Excel, Oracle, PowerPoint, and SAP.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Preferred background in mechanical or inventory control.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend instructions in English.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
