About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our vertical structures team in our Hartford, CT office. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for a variety of structural engineering tasks on multi-discipline projects throughout southern New England.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under the direction of a project manager, you will be responsible for independent field investigations, building assessments, design, and specification of structural systems for new building construction and renovations.
  • You will have the opportunity to work on a range of projects, including drafting (Autocad and Revit), structural analysis, contractor submittal review, and field visits to record existing conditions.
  • Mentoring junior staff and coordination with other trades will be required on most projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or architectural engineering; master's degree in structural engineering preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience required, consulting experience preferred.
  • EIT certification required; PE certification preferred or ability to obtain within 2 years.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with design and drafting using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Experience with concrete, steel, and timber design preferred.
