Job Title: Commercial Insurance Account Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Insurance Account Manager to join our team at The Prewitt Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our clients, producers, and company personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Grow and develop talents and insurance knowledge to the highest level possible.
  • Provide a high level of support in obtaining, maintaining, expanding, and servicing commercial accounts.
  • Service Commercial Lines accounts as assigned and aid in collections.
  • Handle all renewals for accounts that are staying with incumbent carriers.
  • Review quotes from our Marketing Department and compare to renewal quotes to determine the best option.
  • Process Renewal Analysis and other necessary information for Producer appointments with insureds.
  • Collect premiums according to established agency procedures.
  • Work directly with carriers and brokers to provide necessary information on renewals and changes.
  • Prepare company submissions for renewal business quotes and prepare proposals of insurance.
  • Prepare and process endorsement requests for Commercial Lines clients.
  • Prepare and process cancellations/reinstatements when required.
  • Prepare and process certificates of insurance as needed.
  • Review all applications, policies, endorsements, and audits for accuracy.
  • Invoice all premium-bearing transactions.
  • Notify producers of any unpaid balances on accounts and request appropriate actions.
  • Prepare Auto ID cards, evidence of property, certificates, binders, and endorsements.
  • Email policies and related documents to insureds as needed.
  • Maintain suspense items in a timely manner.
  • Participate in seminars and classes for skill and knowledge development.
  • Maintain all client activity in the agency automation system.
  • Service commercial lines accounts to eliminate gaps in coverage and reduce E&O exposures.
  • Prioritize workload and request assistance as needed.
  • Assist other agency departments in securing and providing information for policies.
  • Assist the Claims Department in providing coverage information.
  • Keep producers informed of all important activities on their accounts.
  • Assume other job responsibilities as assigned by producer or department manager.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of Applied/Epic management system or equivalent and other computer systems.
  • Good listening skills, ability to prioritize, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with a great attitude.
  • Detailed knowledge of commercial insurance lines of business and products.
  • P & C License required; professional designation a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience working a large book of business on various sized accounts in a fast-paced atmosphere.
