Position Overview:
The Senior Underwriter will operate autonomously to deliver technical assistance and support to the Account Management team.
Core Responsibilities:
- Gather and evaluate account information for monthly client reporting
- Assess carrier renewals and maintain ongoing communication with insurance providers
- Develop budget forecasts and premium pricing for clients
- Prepare mid-year forecasts for fully insured clients as required
- Support ad hoc claims evaluations
Qualifications:
- Exceptional relationship-building abilities with clients and colleagues
- Understanding of carrier procedures and plan structures
- Outstanding communication capabilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree is preferred
- A minimum of 10 years of underwriting experience with health and welfare carriers
