Position Overview:
The Senior Underwriter will operate autonomously to deliver technical assistance and support to the Account Management team.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Gather and evaluate account information for monthly client reporting
  • Assess carrier renewals and maintain ongoing communication with insurance providers
  • Develop budget forecasts and premium pricing for clients
  • Prepare mid-year forecasts for fully insured clients as required
  • Support ad hoc claims evaluations

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional relationship-building abilities with clients and colleagues
  • Understanding of carrier procedures and plan structures
  • Outstanding communication capabilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • A minimum of 10 years of underwriting experience with health and welfare carriers
